Katara Art Center is an independent platform for the promotion of contemporary art and the creative industries in Doha, Qatar. Local and regional artists as well as creative minds are invited to exhibit, exchange ideas, provoke intellectual debates, inspire and develop creative thinking and nurture knowledge production while engaging with the surrounding audiences. Our aim is to become a trusted regional reference platform for the presentation of contemporary art, with the primary objective of changing perceptions about the understanding of contemporary art locally and in the region while creating a space for original perspectives and grass root projects beyond the eurocentric art discourses.

Our program includes temporary exhibitions by visual artists as well as performances and community supported art projects, artists talks and workshops.

We are located in Katara Cultural Village, building 5 and open from Saturday to Thursday from 10am to 10pm, Fridays from 2pm to 10pm.
